MK MARATHON: SUNDAY & MONDAT 1st & 2nd MAY

The MK Marathon is being held this coming Sunday & Monday, 1st & 2nd May. This will affect service 150 – also affected by road closures in LB!

Sunday 1st May:

This a 5k run and will be over by the time the first 150 gets to MK so no affect for us.

Monday 2nd May:

Saxon Street from the junction with Bletcham Way through to the junction with Groveway is closed all day. Various other parts of Saxon Street are closed through to midday. Parts of Midsummer Boulevard, Avebury Boulevard and Silbury Boulevard are closed through to midday.

Therefore the service 150 journeys at 09.00 & 10.00 ex Aylesbury and the 10.20 & 11.20 ex MK Rail Station should operate direct via Bletcham Way and Grafton Street in both directions between the Bletcham Way/Saxon Street roundabout and MK Rail Station, thus not serving the shops.

The rest of the service 150 journeys that day, from Aylesbury will be normal to Bletcham Way/Saxon Street roundabout, then straight ahead into Bletcham Way Street right at the roundabout into Grafton Street, 3rd exit at the next roundabout into Groveway, then first exit at the next roundabout into Saxon Way and normal route to MK Shops & Rail Station. On return from MK the reverse of the outward diversion  so along Saxon Street and then at Ashland Roundabout the 3rd exit onto Groveway, 2nd exit at next roundabout onto Grafton Street, 1st exit at next roundabout onto Bletcham Way, straight across at next roundabout [2nd exit] onto Bletcham Way and normal route.

DIVERSION IN CENTRAL MILTON KEYNES: 6th APRIL 0930 to 1230

On Wednesday 6th April between 0930 and 1230, Avebury Boulevard EASTBOUND will be closed for roadworks.

The bus diversion for our services 70, 150 and X60 is from Midsummer Boulevard left into Saxon Gate, right into Silbury Boulevard, right into Secklow Gate, left into Midsummer Boulevard, serve stop B3 by the Food Centre, U-turn at the end of Midsummer Boulevard, back along the same road, and left into Secklow Gate and normal route. This is because there is no right turn from Secklow Gate into Midsummer Boulevard by the Point.

DIVERSION: SERVICE 280 IN THAME – 21st MARCH ONWARDS

Due to roadworks on the roundabout of the A418 / B4445 / A4129 in Thame, the “CPM roundabout”, the northbound direction of Aylesbury Road will be closed from Monday 21st March for 5 days. As the 5th day is Good Friday it remains to be seen exactly what the extent of the closure will be!

Service 280 will be required to divert, TOWARDS AYLESBURY ONLY – the road will be open in the Oxford bound direction.

Normal to Thame Town Hall and then to North Street, at the roundabout of North Street and Aylesbury Road, by the cricket ground, 2nd exit into Bell Lane, then at the mini roundabout 2nd exit in to Thame High Street, Oxford Road to the big roundabout just after Lord Williams School, 3rd exit onto the A418 Thame by-pass, down to the next roundabout and 2nd exit back onto normal route.

Thus the bus stop in Aylesbury Road opposite Queens Close, will not be served for the duration of the diversion – I have sent bus stop Maintenance a notice and asked them to put this on the bus stop.

DIVERSION: CENTRAL MILTON KEYNES – SUNDAY 20th MARCH

On Sunday 20th March from 06.00 until 15.00, Saxon Gate and part of Midsummer Boulevard [section from Saxon Gate to Witan Gate, i.e. the rail station side] will be closed for a charity sports event.

Service 150 after serving MK Shops will need to run towards the rail station via Lower Ninth Street, Avebury Boulevard and then continue along Avebury Boulevard, then turn right into Elder Gate and left into Station Square to the Rail Station.

From the Rail Station via Elder Gate to the end, left into Avebury Boulevard and continue along Avebury boulevard until turning left into Lower Ninth Street as usual and up to the Shops.
