  • Due to re-surfacing in the Edlesborough area, service 61 will be diverted between 0930 and 1530 on Monday 27 October and Tuesday 28 October with a possibility of the work continuing into Wednesday 29 October.

From Aylesbury usual to Travellers Rest roundabout and turn left as normal onto A4146 – then continue along this road rather than turning right at Edlesborough Church, and take the next road on the right – Eaton Bray Road [just as entering Northall]  and continue along this road that becomes Northall Road until reaching Eaton Bray by the White Horse and turn left onto the normal route and onwards to Luton. Reverse of this route on return from Luton. Thus part of Eaton Bray and all of Edlesborough will not be served.

    Journeys affected are ex Aylesbury at 0930, 1030, 1130, 1230 & 1340; ex Luton are 0920, 1020, 1120, 1220, 1320 & 1410.

  • Main Street in Grendon Underwood will be closed for road repairs from Monday 27th October through to Thursday 30th October between roughly 0800 and 1700. During this time service 16 will be unable to serve the village.

Buses will need to continue along the A41 from Kingswood crossroads and then turn right at Gallows Bridge [the lorry route] and into the Broadway re-joining the normal route at the end of Grendon Main Street by the church.

Drivers are asked to drop off passengers for Grendon where safe to do so, in the vicinity of the Church.

Journeys affected are 0855 to 1350 ex Aylesbury and the 0840 to 1245 ex Steeple plus the 1352 ex Marsh Gibbon. Hopefully the 1610 ex Aylesbury will be allowed through and I will ask the Council if this is possible.

  • From 0730 Monday 27th October until Sunday 2nd November, with  a possible extension to Wednesday 5th November, Stanbridge Road in Leighton Buzzard between Lake Street and Marley Fields roundabout will be closed for road repairs from 0730 until 1800 each day.

    Diversions as follows:-

Services 32 & 33 will operate from LB High Street via Hockliffe Road, Brooklands Drive to Highfield Road then normal routes back to LB High Street. Thus there will be no service to the southern part of Brooklands Drive, Stanbridge Road or Weston Avenue area. The 1750 ex LB high Street should be able to run via the normal route.

Service 70 will operate in two ways:-

Milton Keynes journeys will operate from Stanbridge via Leighton Road, left into Billington Road, right onto the A505, right onto A4146 Billington Road, left Chartmoor Road, right Grovebury Road and left to Lake Street and as normal. Vive-versa coming from MK to Luton.

LB Rail Station journeys will operate from Luton as normal to Roundel Drive then back eastwards along Stanbridge Road then ahead Billington Road, right onto A505, right onto A4146 Billington Road, left Chartmoor Road, right Grovebury Road, left Lake Street to terminate at LB High Street – NOT to Rail Station. Then resume at High Street and reverse of above back to Luton.

The 1730 ex MK and 1915 ex Luton should be able to run via the normal route.
