MK ROAD CLOSURE FOR SERVICE 150: SUNDAY 20th JULY

Due to the 2014 MK Fringe Giants Parade, service 150 towards MK Rail Station will need to run after serving MK Shops direct via Avebury Boulevard right through to Elder Gate and then into the Rail Station square until 1230 so this affects the 0900, 1000 and 1100 journeys from Aylesbury.

Buses from MK Rail Station should be able to use normal route but there is a road closure for a few minutes from 1230 to 1245 affecting the area near MK Shops – the 1220 ex Rail Station/1230 ex MK Shops should just get through before the road is closed if it is already closed the 150 should wait a few minutes until the road is re-opened to avoid missing any passengers at our main pick up point in the area.

DIVERSION: AYLESBURY SERVICE 300

During the period 09.30 to 15.30 on Tuesday 15 July, Main Road in Walters Ash will be closed to allow for resurfacing and service 300 will divert. Naphill and Hughenden Valley will be without a service during this time.

Diversion from Aylesbury is normal to RAF at Walters Ash, then right into Bradenham Woods Lane, left at the bottom onto the A4010 Wycombe Road, bear left at The Pedestal junction and along the A40 West Wycombe Road, Oxford Road right into the Bus Station. Reverse of this on return from High Wycombe Bus Station.

Journeys affected will be the 0853 ex Aylesbury through to the 1445 ex Aylesbury; and the 0925 ex High Wycombe through to the 1514 ex high Wycombe.

SATURDAY 12th JULY: CARNIVALS & FAYRES AFFECTING AYLESBURY SERVICES

The following “events” are being held on Saturday 12th July which will effect, or possibly effect, our services:-

Princes Risborough High Street: services 300 and 121

High Street closed all day so buses will need to divert via New Road all day in both directions using the “temporary” bus stops located in that road. The 121 will need to turn at the roundabout by M&S and layover at the bus stop in New Road.

Granborough: service 60

There is a parade around 14:25 through the village – the 60’s are due at 1410 and 1413 so if on time or under 10 minutes late should miss this – if they do get caught up in it will have to sit and wait for the procession to clear.

Leighton Buzzard: services Dash, 32, 33, 34, 35, 70 and 150.

There will be a carnival procession from 12 noon until 14:30 passing along Wing Road, Leighton Road, West Street, Leston Road, Hockliffe Street, Hockliffe Road, Brooklands Drive, Brooklands Avenue, Stanbridge Road, and Lake Street to opposite Morrisons. However the roads will only be closed whilst the procession passes through so any buses affected will need to stop and wait for the procession to pass and no diversions necessary. So delays in LB town centre just like any other Saturday……
