Due to the current post holder focusing more on managing, developing and expanding the National Express coach operation in the region, we now have a vacancy for an Operations Manager.
Reporting to the General Manager, you will be leading a team of supervisors to ensure that operational excellence is achieved in managing the day-to-day operations of the business. This must be done by successfully balancing the needs of employees without losing sight of operational requirements. The successful candidate will work alongside the City Centre Manager and the Engineering Team to ensure the delivery of high quality bus services in Milton Keynes with a primary objective of services being reliable and punctual.
This is a demanding role that will require candidates to be pro-active, quality conscious, fast thinking and good at problem solving. Enthusiasm and experience working in, and understanding the needs of, a busy and progressive Depot are essential. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; also experience with working to KPI driven targets and competent use of Microsoft software packages are necessary.
