Forthcoming diversions as notified:-
Thame: Kings Road & Queens Road as already notified from 1st August for
about 6 weeks - just to add that temporary stops have now been sited in
Kingsey Road so please advise drivers on service 40 [HW] and 120 [AY]
accordingly.

Towersey: Thame Road in Towersey, between the village crossroads and
Windmill Road, will be closed from Monday 8th August for up to 5 days
for resurfacing – services 40, 120 and 123 & TESCO BUS will need to use
the by-pass, Kingsey Road, Windmill Road and then turn right onto normal
route and observe bus stop close to junction of Windmill Road in Thame
Road, Towersey – reverse of this diversion for journeys operating
towards Thame Town Centre.

Milton Keynes Rail Station: From Monday 8th August for about 6 months,
Station Square in MK will be closed for redevelopment. Buses on services
100 and 150 will run direct along Elder Gate, observing and using the
Rail Station departure time at the stop in Elder Gate just before the
roundabout with Midsummer Boulevard, which I understand is to be
numbered 35, as per the Rail Station stop number.

Stoke Road & Wendover Road, Aylesbury: on Wednesday 10th August from
20:00 until 06:00 the following morning. Closed in the direction of
inbound towards the Bus Station, including the section of Gyratory
between Wendover Road and the old Plough & Harrow. The last service 4
journey should just make it through. Service 300 at 20:45, 21:45 & 22:45
ex Aylesbury will require to divert via Wendover Road and Station Road
Stoke Mandeville – thus missing out the Hospital.

Mandeville Road and Stoke Road, Aylesbury: on Thursday 11th August from
20:00 until 06:00 the following morning, closed only towards Bus
Station, including the part of the Gyratory that passes the old
Magistrates Court. Again service 4 should just about be unaffected but
service 300 from 1915 ex High Wycombe until finish will need to divert
at Stoke Hospital and run via Churchill Avenue & Oxford Road to the Bus
Station. Service 9 will also need to return via Churchill Avenue &
Oxford Road – this may make it difficult to keep to time and if so, some
later journeys may need to turn short at Mandeville School to run back
to the Bus Station.

Advance warning in case of enquiries, that the A5 trunk road is closed
overnight in MK from 1st September for about 4 weeks – this is 20:00
until 06:00 so should not affect our services.

Discounts for Magna Park Employees

From 1^st August, we have teamed up with John Lewis and River Island for their Employees (including temporary staff) to be entitled to discounts on most of our bus services in the Milton Keynes area.
Working in partnership with both companies, who are subsidising the discount, we hope to increase the number of people using the 300 to get to Magna Park but also encourage travel across our whole network in Milton Keynes.

John Lewis

John Lewis employees will only be able to purchase tickets from their Resource Centre at Magna Park so essentially there will be no need for ID to be checked. The ticket will be the same as the pre paid 4 weekly tickets that is issued from Mkube. The J. Lewis button on the wayfarer will not be used at present.

Tickets can be purchased (except 70 and 15) and used on any Arriva bus service in the MK

Luton and Aylesbury drivers – please be aware you cannot issue these tickets but once purchased you can accept them for travel within MK on 70 or 150. Tickets are called R. Island 4 Week or J. Lewis 4 Week.

Issuing instruction for Aylesbury/LB Drivers

The LB Plus Tickets can be issued by typing in these fare stages, followed by AD SGL or AD RTN. This applies to 3001, 3032 and 3033

· LB to MK= 200

· LB to Dunstable= 210

· LB to Luton = 220

· LB to Aylesbury = 230

The Period tickets can be obtained by pressing Bucks Xtra Zone button, and selecting ‘LB’ then choosing either 1 Week or 4 week.

Staff passes are accepted on Arriva services

Only the staff version of this card is valid on Arriva services

The staff card version has the  staff photo as well

NOTICE TO ALL DRIVERS

DRIVER REST ROOM BUS STATION

On Thursday 21^st July, Engineers will be undertaking some repair work to the Air Vent in the Driver Room. As yet we have not been given a time as to when this work will be undertaken but there will be a point in the day when the Rest Room will be unavailable. If this is the case when you are on your break you will need to use the Portacabin that has been provided for meal relief in the Bus Station.

On Saturday 23^rd July, Engineers will be undertaking some work on the lighting in the Bus Station and EMERGENCY lighting only will be in use.

Another instalment of diversions for you.

Monday 18th July – Services 16 and 17:

Buckingham Road in Edgcott closed
from 0730 until about 1630 for one day – thus we will not be able to
serve the section between Edgcott Phone Box and the turn off for Calvert
Green

From Aylesbury, service 16 to divert from Edgcott, Phone Box, turn left
down to junction and turn right, through Gubbins Hole then turn right on
entering Marsh Gibbon and follow road through to Charndon village, right
at playing field junction to Charndon crossroads, then turn right and
then left into Calvert Village; on return use the reverse of this
diversion.

Monday 1st August & Tuesday 2nd August

from 0800 to 1800: the "eastern arm" of Appenine Way in Leighton Buzzard will be closed for
re-surfacing. Services 34 & 35 will need to use the "western arm" of Appenine Way
instead; service 33 will need to omit Appenine Way altogether.

Monday 1st August for "about 6 weeks" – Thame: Kings Road and Queens
Road – roads will be closed for re-construction so services 40 at High
Wycombe and 120 at Aylesbury will need to divert direct via Kingsey
Road. Temporary stops will be placed in Kingsey Road near the junction
with Kings Road.

HOWEVER WE UNDERSTAND THAT KINGS ROAD HAS BEEN CLOSED FROM TODAY but we
cannot get confirmation/explanation from Oxfordshire.

Coming soon  in late July there will be details of the
long term closure of Station Square in Milton Keynes [latest start date
8th August] and 3 night time closures in central Aylesbury on 9/10/11
August.
