Expect long delays on the Tring Road

    Roadworks Sign by Caro's Lines.

Buckinghamshire County Council warns drivers that there are likely to be long delays on the A41 Tring Road in Aylesbury, from Monday 12 January and continuing for around three or four weeks.

Thames Water are carrying out flood alleviation works. They started in Broughton Avenue and Richmond Road before Christmas and are now working in Broughton Avenue and Parton Road. They need to connect to the main sewer in Tring Road, which will require 24-hour temporary lights to control the traffic.

The section of Tring Road affected by the works is short – from Parton Road to Limes Avenue, but traffic tailbacks are expected to affect a much larger area on this busy commuter route.

Drivers are requested to avoid the area if possible or seek alternative routes. Please note that Broughton Road is closed in the middle, so diverting through this area is not a great idea. Alternatives routes in and out of Aylesbury include via Bedgrove or Broughton Lane.
