On Wednesday 6th April between 0930 and 1230, Avebury Boulevard EASTBOUND will be closed for roadworks.

The bus diversion for our services 70, 150 and X60 is from Midsummer Boulevard left into Saxon Gate, right into Silbury Boulevard, right into Secklow Gate, left into Midsummer Boulevard, serve stop B3 by the Food Centre, U-turn at the end of Midsummer Boulevard, back along the same road, and left into Secklow Gate and normal route. This is because there is no right turn from Secklow Gate into Midsummer Boulevard by the Point.

Due to roadworks on the roundabout of the A418 / B4445 / A4129 in Thame, the “CPM roundabout”, the northbound direction of Aylesbury Road will be closed from Monday 21st March for 5 days. As the 5th day is Good Friday it remains to be seen exactly what the extent of the closure will be!

Service 280 will be required to divert, TOWARDS AYLESBURY ONLY – the road will be open in the Oxford bound direction.

Normal to Thame Town Hall and then to North Street, at the roundabout of North Street and Aylesbury Road, by the cricket ground, 2nd exit into Bell Lane, then at the mini roundabout 2nd exit in to Thame High Street, Oxford Road to the big roundabout just after Lord Williams School, 3rd exit onto the A418 Thame by-pass, down to the next roundabout and 2nd exit back onto normal route.

Thus the bus stop in Aylesbury Road opposite Queens Close, will not be served for the duration of the diversion – I have sent bus stop Maintenance a notice and asked them to put this on the bus stop.

Water main works are scheduled to take place at Headington crossroads by Headington shops from Monday 15th February for about a week, dependent upon the weather.

The work will be off peak between 0930 and 1530 and the traffic signals will be switched off during these times and replaced by 4-way manually controlled temporary lights.

Thus delays may occur for service 280.

Lower Ninth Street in Central Milton Keynes will be closed between Avebury Boulevard and Midsummer Boulevard in this direction only between 11.00 and 12.30 on Monday 4th January, affecting our services 70, 150 & X60.

Services 70 and 150 from MK Rail Station should follow normal route along Midsummer Boulevard but at the traffic lights with Saxon Gate, turn left instead of right, then turn right into Silbury Boulevard and right into Secklow Gate, then left into Midsummer Boulevard and pick up at stop B3 by the Food Centre. Then at the end of Midsummer Boulevard do a U turn, back along Midsummer Boulevard and left onto normal route at Secklow Gate.

Service X60 should follow the same diversion as above on arrival, drop off at stop B3 and U turn at the end of Midsummer Boulevard to layover. Then U turn at the Secklow Gate junction to pick up at stop B3 and then depart as the 70 and 150 above into Secklow Gate and normal route.
